That Darn Plumbing!

Mitsy and Leighton sleep close together and their dreams last well into the late morning. Mitsy isn’t angry about not knowing about Sam. She realizes he is a teenager and there is really not much parenting involved with someone so grown up already.

Sam doesn’t seem to feel this way at all. He avoided both his dad and now step-mom after the wedding. When they all arrived at Mitsy’s place (they lived with his grandma and his dad gave her the house) he continued to ignore them and went straight upstairs to the bedroom with a single bed. He wasn’t particularly happy with the decor or the fact that this was actually Mitsy’s room. He tossed and turned all night and when he woke up it didn’t feel like he slept at all.

Sam was the first to wake up. He had to go to school and even though he wasn’t too excited about the idea he wasn’t going to stay in this house. He went downstairs and noticed the broken sink. When did that happen? Doesn’t Mitsy take care of her house at all?

While Sam is downstairs eating his cereal Leighton wakes up. He’s a family-oriented and ambitious sim and now he is married. Of course this means now he’s ambitious about something comepletely unrelated to his career.

Its almost as if Sam heard his dad’s thoughts.

Sam takes off for the bus and Leighton finally makes his way down the stairs. He looks in the fridge and finds the pancakes Mitsy made yesterday morning. He’s never had Mitsy’s cooking before so he has no idea what awaits his taste buds, but he does know that he loves pancakes. He sits down to eat, rubs his hands together with excitement and digs in!

Of course Mitsy’s cooking goes straight through him and he’s forced to visit the bathroom where he finds the clogged toilet.

What would Mitsy ever do without him? Its surprising she’s lasted even this long!

After being the manly husband he is and unclogging the toilet Leighton suddenly feels like playing the guitar. He buys one and goes into the dieing garden to practice his musical abilities.

Its around this time that sleeping beauty comes downstairs. She was going to sit down for a nice breakfast but she spots the broken sink. She flings her arms in the air wondering what the point of getting married was. Should the husband repair the sink?

For the first time Mitsy decides not to wait for somone else to do it. She picks up a wrench and begins tightening everything possible. This might be the first time Mitsy has chosen to do something grown up and she certainly isn’t happy about it.

Author’s Note: I decided to try to use up the last of my pictures from my old computer in this post. I was wanting to do something different originally but after getting the new computer I noticed that my graphics are much better (no more will sims look glitchy! yay!). I’ve fallen behind in several things and this week i am working to catch up. I’ll try to still make daily posts but it may be a week or two before things are back to that sort of schedule. I promise it will return!

I’ve never noticed how much purple Leighton has. I wonder if Misty will let Sam re-do his room or if she figures he’s a teen so he won’t be there for much longer. I love her face in that last shot. I wonder who she’s thinking about.

I didn’t notice the amount of purple either until they got married and i saw his pajamas – his favorite color is purple so after I realized that it made sense. Thats why I bought him a guitar and designed it purple 🙂

I thought it was great when I saw Sam tossing and turning and making that face – I thought oooh this works so well for my story. And then when he choked at the same time Leighton was thinking of having a baby I thought that was too funny. The story will allways be more from Mitsy’s perspective but I wanted to add some personalities to the new characters I’m also changing Mitsy’s personality slightly due to her age. You’ll notice she still is childish and naive though because she’s thinking a teenager doesn’t really need a lot of paranting 😛 Teenagers may agree with her and parents, well, they’re probably tsk tsking saying “that poor girl has no idea what she’s in for”

I LOVED that she threw her arms in the air wondering what the point of getting married was if she still had to fix things! That made me laugh out loud, really! Perfect moment.
